The Children's Agriculture Books of the Year program rewards outstanding contributions to children's literature with an agricultural theme. The program is sponsored by the Nebraska Farm Bureau Ag Promotion Committee.

Two books are selected annually, one for grades K-3 and one for grades 4-5. A panel of teachers, administrators and committee members select the winners from a group of books submitted by publishers across the nation.
