The Agriculture in the Classroom Program has 37 mobile Learning Barns across the state of Nebraska. Learning Barns are available to Lincoln Public, Lincoln non-public and Omaha Public classrooms that participate in the Ag Pen Pal Program. Thirty Nebraska counties also have Learning Barns available to schools in their county.
The Learning Barns are 4 x 5 feet and easily movable. They contain Agriculture in the Classroom teacher
resources, videos, DVDs, games, literature books,
teacher/classroom activities, farm animal puppets with scripted plays and farm equipment toys. They are
suitable for kindergarten through fifth grade.
There is no cost to the schools associated with the
delivery and pick up of the Learning Barns.
